ASHLING'S
POWERTRAIN DEVELOPMENT
TOOLS
Ashling supplies
a range of tools for development, debug, integration, calibration, Verification
& Validation, testing and Software Quality Assurance for Powertrain
Controller developers.
Ashling's
unified environment for powertrain development provides:
Ashling development
tools are in use worldwide, on mission-critical powertrain applications.
NEXUS
Development Support
The NEXUS global embedded debug standard, implemented on Ashling's NEXUS
debug tools for MPC5554 and MPC565, provides a more compact, more flexible,
more reliable debug connection to the unit-under-test, with a single industry-standard
debug and trace connector; ability to monitor execution on-the-fly, with
no debugging time-penalty; ability to measure code and data execution
on-the-fly; opportunity to use a single, standard Debug Connector for
debugging, validation, calibration and Flash-download.
As a leading
member of the NEXUS Forum, Ashling is actively involved in further development
of the NEXUS standard, and of tools for NEXUS-based debug, trace and calibration.
Advanced
Powertrain Development support:
- Ashling
PathFinder Source Debuggers for MPC5500 and MPC56x, and the TriCore
and ARM architectures, include powerful new Software Quality Assurance
functions: Timing Performance Analysis, Code
Coverage and Call-Return Trace
[322KB]
- Emulator/debugger
Setup and configuration options for Run-Through-Reset/Run-Through-Ignition
debugging and trace, to observe the full sequence of processor events
while the powertrain control module-under-test is started from cold
(battery/ignition is turned on).
- Calibration-tool
interface: Shared use of NEXUS or OCDS debug port on unit-under-test
for Debug and Calibration
- Testbed
Software Quality Assurance environment with MISRA-C conformance checking
- Full Debug
and Trace support for TC1796 to maximum rated clock frequency (160MHz)
