STMicroelectronics
ASHLING
PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT
Limerick,
Ireland, September 2004: Ashling Microsystems has announced
the availability of a full set of development tools for the STR7 microcontroller;
the ARM7 based embedded controller architecture from STMicroelectronics.
The STR7
microcontrollers are a range of ARM7 based microcontrollers made by ST.
As a leading MCU provider, ST has a strong foothold in the embedded market.
Being a long-time partner of ARM inc., ST has over 4 years experience
in building ARM-based products for ASIC and application-specific circuits.
Ashling provides
a full range of emulation and debug tools to support the STR7 ARM based
device. By applying Ashling’s powerful real-time debug technology,
the Ashling tools design team will ensure that users of the STR7 ARM based
device can benefit from a powerful and flexible development and debug
toolset from the outset.
The built-in processing power of the Ashling emulation system and its
sophisticated debugger interface, fine-tuned for the STR7 ARM based embedded
controller architecture, ensure rapid and trouble-free deployment of the
development environment. In turn, this provides the developer with a fast,
low-risk product development process.
