UPGRADES
Warranty
Agreement
All Ashling
software products carry an initial Warranty of 365 days from the date
of invoice and all hardware products carry an initial warranty of 365
days, subject to the conditions set below:
- The
end user is respectfully requested to complete and return a Warranty
Registration Form to Ashling Microsystems Limited.
- Warranty
on software products includes standard upgrades to correct software
defects and replacement of faulty program disks supplied by Ashling,
where the defect is caused by Ashling's workmanship or by defective
materials.
- All
Ashling software products are covered by copyright vested Ashling.
Customers may duplicate Ashling's software for backup purposes only.
Unauthorised copying of Ashling software violates Ashling's copyright
and voids the customer's warranty agreement.
- Warranty
on hardware products includes repair by Ashling. This warranty does
not cover damages arising form accident, misuse, abuse, normal wear-and-tear,
disaster, or modification to the product carried out without Ashling's
consultation and instruction.
- Products
may not be returned to Ashling unless Ashling has already provided
an appropriate Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number for the
return shipment.
- Ashling
is not liable for carriage costs resulting form the return of product
to Ashling's repair centre or the subsequent return shipment to the
customer except where the unit has failed to function on arrival at
the customers premises.
- Ashling's
liability under this agreement is limited to the repair or replacement
of the Ashling's product, whichever is appropriate. Ashling is not
responsible for any loss of profits, loss of use, interruption of
business, nor for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages
of any kind whether under this agreement of otherwise.
Optional Extended
Warranty Contracts
An annual
Extended Warranty contract may be purchased from Ashling for products
whose warranty period has expired. The contract includes hardware maintenance
and repair as described in paragraphs 2 and 4 above, and telephone applications
support.
Software Update
Service
An annual
Software Update Service may be purchased from Ashling for Software Products.
The service provides for upgrades, application information and telephone
applications support.
