Updating Vitra software

After installing latest software, please ensure you turn off and on your Vitra emulator before running the new installed version. This ensures that the Vitra diskware software is updated to the latest version which is supplied with this release.

Important installation information for USB operation

1. With previously installed Ashling USB driver:

  • Connect Vitra to your PC via USB and switch on
  • Skip getting driver software from Windows Update and wait for Searching Windows Update to finish
  • Open Device Manager
  • Select “Ashling Microsystems UE32 Genia / Vitra USB Driver” under “Ashling USB devices”
  • Select “Update Driver Software”
  • Select “Browse my computer for driver software”
  • Browse for Folder “\PFMPC\USB driver\”
  • Select “Next”
  • Install “libusb-win32 Ashling USB Devices”


2. Without previously installed Ashling USB driver:

  • Connect Vitra to your PC via USB and switch on
  • Skip getting driver software from Windows Update and wait for Searching Windows Update to finish
  • Open Device Manager
  • Select “Unknown Device” under “Other devices”
  • Select “Update Driver Software”
  • Select “Browse my computer for driver software”
  • Browse for Folder “\PFMPC\USB driver\”
  • Select “Next”
  • Install “libusb-win32 Ashling USB Devices”

PathFinder for Power Architecture MPC5xx PFPPC Debugger Software Version 1.1.3

New Features in this release

Features added in PathFinder PFPPC v1.1.3 and SymFinder-DWARF v1.2.8 include:

  • Support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.x (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions)
  • Correct versioning for PathFinder
  • SymFinder-DWARF fixes for errors 30122 and 30115
